CIRCLE SINGING & THE HEALING VOICE

Therapeutic voicework & group singing with Evolution Arts
Now with an Introductory and Intermediate option!

Singing and working with the voice engages the breath, connects to the heart, calms the nervous system and helps us step out of our busy minds. We use our voices every day — to express, to connect, to be heard — but many of us carry tension, inhibition or judgment around our voice. This course offers a gentle, therapeutic approach to begin, or deepen, a positive and empowering relationship with your voice.

INTRO COURSE

An Introduction to Therapeutic Voicework
& Collaborative Vocal Improvisation

This welcoming introductory course offers a gentle and therapeutic approach to building — or renewing — a positive, empowering relationship with your voice.

Through guided therapeutic voicework, you’ll explore grounding vocal tools that support the parasympathetic nervous system, release emotional and mental blocks, and strengthen your connection to your own inner wisdom.

We’ll also sing together — weaving simple improvised sound, playing with melody, rhythm, and harmony, and exploring the joy of collaborative vocal improvisation in a completely supportive, no-pressure space.

Whether you’re drawn to singing, curious about your voice, or longing to reconnect with yourself through sound, all are welcome — including those who think they “can’t” sing.

No experience needed, just curiosity.

Returning participants are welcome to do both courses.

Deepening Your Practice:
Collaborative Vocal Improv & Embodied Voicework

This course is for those who’ve already worked with me, or who have some experience with singing and improvisation, and want to explore this practice more deeply.

We’ll work with the voice in a more expressive way — building confidence, letting go, listening closely, and discovering new possibilities in your sound. Together we’ll explore how to move as a group: leading, following, responding, and finding the kind of flow that happens when voices meet and play.

There will still be grounding, meditative elements, but the focus is on stretching your creativity, exploring richer harmonies and textures, and growing your improvisational freedom. It’s a joyful, supportive space to deepen your relationship with your voice and with the group — and to discover what becomes possible when we allow ourselves to be heard, to connect, and to create in the moment.
